During the observance of Emergency Management Awareness Month in September, the city is inviting the public to learn about Holyoke’s water infrastructure, then, now, and what’s next.
Holyoke’s water infrastructure is something most people don’t see everyday, but it plays a critical role in keeping neighborhoods, businesses, and downtown safe, especially as the city prepares for heavier storms and work to prevent major flooding.
This film, created by Perry Hallinan, will give you a whole new perspective on what’s underneath and around the city we call home.
The premiere and public showing will be on September 16, 6:00 PM, at
Holyoke Media, 1 Court Plaza. Free and open to the public.
