State Rep.’s July Message
State Rep. Patricia Duffy says there are several bills in the Statehouse that are of particular interest to Holyoke.
Rep. Duffy, who represents all of Holyoke, provides updates on bills that are being debated in the House before going to the Senate for further discussion. Ultimately, if both the House and Senate agree, the bill will end up on Gov. Baker’s desk to sign.
In the meantime, Rep. Duffy is working on a “huge economic development bill” with her colleagues that if passed will provide more funds that would be used to help provide more market-rate and affordable housing; tax relief for people with low incomes; and more.
