Kathy Champagne of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 485 Appleton St. in Holyoke, which offers services in English and Spanish, captivated the parishioners with her voice. This past Palm Sunday, her singing could be understood in all languages.

Christians observe Palm Sunday every year to both celebrate and mourn what was done to Jesus. It is the day that Jesus was welcomed into Jerusalem, only to be crucified by a raging mob who did not understand his teachings.
