Holyoke Media Presents: Eli and Kahlil Jacobs-Fantauzzi and their film ‘We Still Here/Nos Tenemos’
Brothers Eli and Kahlil Jacobs-Fantauzzi created together a documentary film that tells the story of a community in Comerío, Puerto Rico, and their resurgence after the devastation of hurricane María in 2017, titled ‘We Still Here / Nos Tenemos’.
With the organizing effort by activist and educator, Evelín Aquino, the Jacobs-Fantauzzi brothers visited the Valley, and offered screenings and community gatherings in Amherst, Holyoke Community College, and Holyoke High School, to allow the community to see the film, and share their thoughts.
In this conversation, we learned about the experiences Eli and Kahlil gained after visiting Holyoke, engaging with the community, and their work with the youth involved in the film.
