A visit to Double Edge Theatre, as they celebrate its 40th anniversary.

 In Updates

This is a special feature, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Double Edge Theatre.

A cultural cooperative and ensemble collective, located is Ashfield, MA. We visited their beautiful space that is a small community village that works as a sanctuary, and workshop for a diverse community of artists and creatives.

We got the opportunity of speaking with Stacy Klein, Founder and Artistic Director of Double Edge Theatre, along with Cariel Klein, who is co-producer, and Travis Coe, Co-artistic Director, about the history, legacy, and the positive impact of the work Double Edge Theatre does, from the perspective of one of its founders, and the newest generation, in a multicultural and multi-generational approach to a collaborative work.

After the conversation, Carlos Uriona, Double Edge Theatre Co-Director, and Milena Dabova, Director of Choreography, guide us on a walk through the different spaces, and the natural environment that surrounds this magical sanctuary for the arts, that also has a deep connection with the land, the environment, the ancestors, and the community that today lives in it.

We want to thank all the amazing people at Double Edge Theatre for welcoming us at their place, and sharing their story and current work. For more information about current activities, upcoming programming and events, visit: https://doubleedgetheatre.org/
