Celebrating Hanukkah, with the 10th Annual Menorah Lighting at Holyoke City Hall.
Celebrating the beginning of Hanukkah, at Holyoke City Hall, with an event organized by Congregation Sons of Zion in collaboration with Congregation Rodphey Sholom. This tenth annual celebration at City Hall was held inside Holyoke City Hall, after a snow cold day brought low temperatures.
However, the public was able to step outside to see the lighting of the first candle of the Menorah, outside the government building. This celebration had the participation of Congressman Richard Neal, who joined the celebration and addressed the community and this celebration, with some remarks.
Hanukkah begins at sundown on December 14, and lasts for eight nights. The holiday ends at sundown on December 22.
