This easy, beginner-friendly course is for adults age 18 and older who want to feel more comfortable using computers and the internet. If you’re getting back into school, preparing for a job, or just want to understand technology better, this class is designed for you. We move at a relaxed pace in a supportive, no-pressure environment.

What You’ll Learn:

Turning a Computer or Device On and Off
Learn how to safely start and shut down computers, laptops, and other everyday devices.

Using a Mouse or Touchpad
Practice simple skills like clicking, double-clicking, scrolling, and moving items on the screen.

Basic Keyboard Shortcuts
Learn easy keyboard tips that help you get things done faster without extra steps.

Using Internet Browsers
Learn how to open and use internet programs like Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

Searching the Internet & Visiting Websites
Find information online, move through websites, and understand website addresses.

Sending and Receiving Emails
Create an email account, write and reply to messages, send attachments, and organize your inbox.

Downloading and Uploading Files
Learn how to save files to your computer and send photos or documents safely.

Using Google Docs (Basic Skills)
Create simple documents, type text, and save or share your work using Google Docs — a free online tool.

Creating and Remembering Strong Passwords
Learn how to make safe passwords and protect your personal information.

Joining Online Meetings (Google Meet)
Practice joining video calls, turning your camera and microphone on and off, and following along in virtual meetings.


By the end of this course, you’ll have the basic computer skills needed for everyday tasks, school, and work. No computer experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to learn!
