Heated Exchange at City Council Meeting

Tensions turned into sparks shortly after the beginning of this week’s meeting at the City Council.

In the words of Assistant City Solicitor Michael Bissonette: “I think it’s unfortunate that somehow, the accuracy, legitimacy, of the law department and the city solicitor has reported to the council and has exchanged with Councilor (Kevin) Jordain several times. It’s unfortunate now that once again, after over a month of meetings on this very topic, the councilor continues to believe that there’s some, fruit of the poisonous tree here that we’re not representing.”

The meeting ended with an abrupt call to adjourn, leaving dozens of agenda items unattended.

The City Council will meet again this coming Monday at 6 pm to finish the business it had on the agenda.
