Our inaugural Youth Cohort of producers at the Holyoke Media Summer Signal Program, did a brainstorming session to design and prepare an interview with Holyoke Mayor, Joshua Garcia.

After planning and doing all the due diligence to coordinate the recording of this interview, the team worked their way, setting up the TV studio, lights, camera angles, and all the ‘behind the scenes’ workflow, to welcome Mayor Garcia into the studio and conduct an interview in the most professional way possible.

We will experience the perspective of local Holyoke youth, wanting to learn about the work their Mayor does, while exploring the proper ways of journalism in this session that is informative, educational, and deeply personal when we talk about a cohort of 99% Latino youth, paving the way and setting the bar high for the new generations to learn about media production.
