Holyoke Media Presents: Loculus Collective features a weekend of dance, music and performance.

We welcome in our sound room at Holyoke Media, the founders of the Loculus Collective, Olena Flynn and Madison Palffy. A project based in Holyoke, MA.

We talked about the way Loculus Collective began around 2015, and how their work has been a process of adapting to non-traditional spaces to create performative art through dance, and the inclusion of sound, through experimental methods.

Loculus Collective is presenting a three day festival, Sideways Door II… a weekend of ecstasies and escape routes.

This is a semi annual festival celebrating multi-disciplinary performance, process, and practice, and it begins on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the Holyoke Media studio at 1 Court Plaza in Holyoke.

On Saturday, June 24, there will be classes at the LOCULUS Studios on 80 Race Street, 3rd floor in Holyoke, from 10:00 -11:30 am and from 12:30 – 2:00 pm. Later at 7:00 pm there will be a music centered performance at Anchor House of Artists in Northampton.

On Sunday, June 25, there will be a workshop at Looky Here in Greenfield, from 12:00 – 3:30 pm, followed by a reading from 3:30 – 5:00 pm.
