Hunger
Join Voices in Food Equity tomorrow, June, 12 at 5 pm at the the Alumni Hall building of Springfield College. The panelists will delve into the pressing issue of food insecurity from childhood through college years across Western Massachusetts. The diverse panel will lead conversations on hunger’s far-reaching effects, innovative community-driven solutions, and the vital need for legislative action.
The panelists are:
* Shannon M. Rudder, CEO and president of the MLK Jr. Community Center in Springfield.
* José López-Figueroa, director of the Center for Access Services at Springfield Technical Community College
* Abby Getman Skillicorn, Board President for River Valley Co-op in Northampton and Easthampton.
This timely and important gathering is open to all at no cost, and delicious hors d’oeuvres will be served.
