 In Updates

On May 27, 2025, the Holyoke Community gathered at the corner of Clemente and Sargent Streets, in South Holyoke, next to the Carlos Vega Park, to welcome the mural art created by the community, with the leading guidance of artist and muralist, Kilia Llano.

This mural was created with the input and participation of the community, gathered at Morgan School for multiple session of community painting led by Llano.

This event saw a gathering of members of the community who have been involved on the betterment of the community throughout the years, to honor Betty Medina Lichtenstein, as a protagonist of many transformative actions and engagements throughout her work at Enlace de Familias, and herself, as well as her involvement with Nueva Esperanza, and the Holyoke Charter School.

This mural was possible thanks to the partnership with CommonWealth Murals.
