Tanisha Arena on the growing movement of tolerance of bigotry among political candidates and those elected is a sign of the weakening of democracy in the United States of America. We can moan, groan, grieve, rage, use social media to support candidates and elected politicians and do more than speak up. We have to show up in the places where policies are formed — statehouses, city councils, boards of selectpeople and pressure for positive change.
