Work to Begin On Keeping The Connecticut River Clean

 In City Council, News, Video

City Councilor Michael Sullivan provided an update on the Request for Proposals for fully complying with a federal order that the city’s sewer be fixed so no raw sewage goes into the Connecticut River.

There were three respondents to the RFP, which Sullivan characterized as “highly qualified, and multinational corporations.”

He added, “I’m really pleased with the three companies that have responded.” The working group to examine the proposals in depth will convene on April 25. Members will review the proposals without considering the cost to ensure that the best plan gains support, he said.
