State Rep. Patricia Duffy along with her colleagues at the Legislature — 159 fellow House representatives and 40 senators — started their new 19-month session.

Representative Duffy is all fired up and ready to go. She has been assigned to the House Ways and Means Committee, which holds the purse strings for all bills requiring money — there’s one in the Senate chambers as well and both committees work together to get the math straight.
